Okuma Spin Safyre 4000XA 6.2.1

The Okuma Safyre 4000XA is a high-speed spinning reel designed to deliver smooth, reliable performance across both freshwater and saltwater environments. As part of the newly introduced Safyre series for 2026, it combines modern engineering with durable construction to meet the needs of anglers who require quick line retrieval and dependable strength.

Built around Okuma’s HDGII gearing system, the reel features an oversized high-density main gear paired with a precision machine-cut brass pinion gear. This combination provides improved torque, increased durability, and efficient power transfer when fighting stronger fish.

The Flite Drive System, working together with the Gear Stabilising System (GSS), helps maintain gear alignment and stability during operation. The result is a noticeably smooth, consistent retrieve with reduced internal friction.

To help protect key internal components, the Safyre 4000XA includes Hydro Block II body seals, offering IPX-3 rated splash protection to prevent water from entering the drag and pinion gear system. In addition, the Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) design creates airflow through the rotor, helping to dry internal components and reduce the risk of corrosion.

A CNC-machined aluminium screw-in handle ensures a solid connection with the drive gear, eliminating handle flex and delivering direct power transfer. The handle is finished with a comfortable power knob, allowing anglers to maintain control during demanding retrieves.

Completing the reel is Okuma’s multi-disc Carbonite drag system, designed to provide smooth and consistent stopping power when pressure is needed most.
